Minutes of February 2nd, 2003 Meeting
By Kathy Ritondo

Meeting was called to order at 7:45 PM at the New Yorker Hotel, by Al Ritondo, President. The reading of the minutes was waved due to the fact that they are printed on the website and can be read at any time.

The first order of business was an open forum discussion of the likes and dislikes of the membership in regards to digital cameras. The purpose of this discussion was to provide materials for the WEVA Camcorder Committee members to bring to the major manufacturers such as Sony & JVC that they are meeting with this month.

The first speaker was Kathy Ritondo, founder of NYPV who presented a workshop entitled “The Business of Your Business”. The workshop included features on startup, organization, follow through, marketing, leads follow up by source, elements to be included in your contract and insurance. Due to the late hour the last half of the presentation was postponed for another meeting.

The next speaker up was Maggie Krupka, the treasurer of NYPV who navigated the start up features in Quick Books Pro, an accounting program for small businesses. Due to the complex technical nature of this presentation ad the late hour the presentation was shortened to be revisited at another meeting.

The meeting was adjourned 10:58. Motion made by John Johnson, Sgt. At Arms and seconded by Tommie McCauley.
